Meet Yvonne Gimbert

Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant

Hi, I’m Yvonne – a certified pediatric sleep consultant, former pediatric nurse, and mom of two.

If you’re here, you’re probably tired. Not just “I could use a nap” tired, but the kind of bone-deep exhaustion that comes from trying to function while your baby, toddler, or young child struggles to sleep. I’ve been there, and I remember exactly how it feels.

When my kids were little, people used to say things like, “You’ll sleep again in 18 years.” It was meant to be funny, but as a new mom, it infuriated me. I thought: Why is this just something we’re supposed to accept? Why are we told that being a parent means surrendering sleep, peace, and sanity for years on end?

The truth is: you don’t have to wait 18 years to sleep again. And helping families find rest – without the guilt, stress, or guesswork – is exactly why I started Dreamworthy Pediatric Sleep Consulting.

Former PICU Nurse Turned Baby & Toddler Sleep Coach

Before launching Dreamworthy, I spent 12 years as a pediatric nurse, first at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and later in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto. Caring for critically ill children shaped my ability to assess complex situations, support families in their most vulnerable moments, and advocate fiercely for their wellbeing.

But when my youngest turned three, I stepped away from hospital life to be home with my children. As they grew older, I started looking for a way to serve families again – one that honored my clinical background, respected the emotional experience of parenting, and gave me the flexibility to stay rooted in family life.

When a friend asked for help with their baby’s sleep, everything clicked. Helping their family sleep better lit a fire in me. I realized that sleep support, done with empathy, evidence, and empowerment, wasn’t just something I could do. It was something I wanted to do.

How I Support Families: Gentle, Personalized Baby & Toddler Sleep Coaching

I’m now a certified pediatric sleep consultant through the Center for Pediatric Sleep Management, and I work with exhausted families to help babies and young children learn how to sleep independently.

But here’s what sets my approach apart:
💜 It’s family-centered. I believe your values matter. I’ll never hand you a one-size-fits-all plan.
💜 It’s collaborative. You’re the expert on your child. I’m here to guide and support you.
💜 It’s compassionate. Sleep training can feel overwhelming. My job is to remove the stress, judgment, and confusion so you can focus on connection and confidence.

I know how hard this season can be. That’s why I walk beside you every step of the way, with a plan that fits your family, and support that feels like a lifeline when you need it most.

A Little More About Me

These days, I live in Toronto with my husband Dan and our two amazing kids (now 10 and 13). When I’m not helping families get dreamworthy sleep, you’ll find me volunteering at my kids’ school, curled up with a good book, flowing through a yoga class, or planning our next adventure (Costa Rica is always calling).

Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, I still head back to the U.S. often to visit family and friends, but Toronto is home.
